About Mary Loung

Founder and Principal

Mary Loung grew up in Dallas, TX and moved to the Bay Area in the early 2000s.  Prior to her legal career, she was an elementary school teacher for the Millbrae School District for over 10 years. Mary was recognized as teacher of the year and won several grants for her school. During that time, she wanted to do more for her students and their families outside of education, so she switched careers to expand her area of reach.

As a trust and estate planning attorney, Mary provides her clients with the highest quality counsel and resources. She explains legal concepts to non-lawyers in terms they can understand. Mary knows the importance of having a personalized estate plan in place and enjoys using her experience and expertise to help families.  She values answering questions, addressing concerns, and customizing estate plans for each client.

Mary graduated from the Golden Gate University School of Law at the top of her class. She received numerous awards for her hard work, including the top grade in her Wills and Trusts class. Additionally, she was the Executive Comments Editor of Golden Gate University Law Review.  She has published works in both GGU's Law Review and Environment Law Journal. She is currently working toward obtaining her L.L.M. (Masters of Law) in Estate Planning.

Mary lives in the Bay Area with her husband and twin boys in a loving home she describes as organized chaos. She volunteers her time with Open Door Legal and is a board member of the Burlingame Mothers Club.
